Agent Presents Offer to Listing Agent or Seller

Once we write up the offer and have the buyer sign it, your buyers agent will present the contract to the listing agent, or if there is not a listing agent involved in the transaction, will present the offer directly to the seller.

This is usually done via email these days and it either preceded with a phone call or follow-up directly with a phone call depending the negotiation strategy that you and your agent have decided on.  That phone call will aim to explain any parts of the offer that may be misinterpreted and also to try to get an understanding of the seller’s motivation and what’s most important to the seller.  This information is important as we go into negotiations.
