Next you and your agent will schedule the inspections on the home to be completed prior to the end of your due diligence period.  We advise that you start your inspections with a general home inspection.  The general home inspector may suggest based on what they find that additional specialized inspections be conducted as well.

Home inspectors get paid upon completion of the inspection and require payment in order to release their home inspection report to you.  We suggest starting with them because they may find a deal breaker for you which you may determine is a reason for you to pull the rip-cord on the deal and terminate the contract right away.  Better to figure this out now and just be out the money for the home inspection that have all of the other inspections done and paid for before finding this out.
